Pipe

Broadcast a workshop to 200 viewers from your laptop

You're running a free Saturday workshop. Two hundred people signed up. You don't want to herd them into a Zoom seat, ask them to make accounts, or pay for the tier that handles two hundred attendees.

You stream your screen to a pipe with ?n=200: ffmpeg -f x11grab -i :0 -c:v libvpx -f webm - | curl -T - https://.../api/v1/pipe/workshop?n=200. The receiver URL has ?video appended: Hoody serves an embedded MSE player to anyone who opens it in a browser. You paste that URL on the event page.

Two hundred people open it. The pipe waits until they're connected, then streams your screen through, fanning out to every viewer. No accounts, no install, no platform. The bytes never land on a server. When you stop the workshop, the URL just stops working.

A workshop, a URL, and 200 quiet seats. No platform, no logins.
