CodeContainers

Embed VS Code inside your customer docs

You write a tutorial about your SDK. Page two says "open index.ts and add the import." Below that paragraph, an iframe loads: a real VS Code instance with index.ts already open, your starter project on disk, your SDK already in node_modules.

The reader doesn't switch context. They don't fork a repo. They don't npm install. They edit the file on the page they're reading, hit save, and the embedded terminal shows the output.

The iframe is <iframe src="...code-1.../?folder=/sdk-starter&id=42">. Behind it, a container per visitor session, idle until they click. The orchestrator hands out instance IDs from a pool.

Documentation that runs is documentation that converts.

The tutorial is the editor, the editor is the tutorial.
