The student's homework workspace

A second-year CS student opens her assignment workspace on a school library computer. The panels load: VS Code on the assignment repo, a terminal at the project root, a file manager, the course's reference notes pinned in a browser panel.

She compiles, she debugs, she runs the tests. The whole thing happens server-side, on a real Linux container the school provided. Nothing installed on the lab machine: she could be on any of the school's terminals and the workspace would look the same.

At 9pm she's at home on her own laptop. Same URL. Same layout. The terminal is still in the same project directory. The file she had open is still open at the cursor position.

Homework stops being a battle with installs and starts being homework.
