CronExec

The cron job that doesn't bill per invocation

You have forty cron jobs scattered across Lambda. The hourly rollup. The nightly cleanup. The five-minute health check that runs 12 times an hour, 288 times a day, 8,640 times a month. The unit cost is tiny. The aggregate is a $300/month invoice for jobs that, end-to-end, run for maybe forty minutes a day.

On Hoody, those forty jobs are forty hoody-cron entries running on the box you already pay for. Each invocation is a process, not a billable event. The five-minute health check still fires every five minutes, but the eight-thousand-and-something runs cost nothing more than the rent you already pay.

Cold starts disappear. The container is always there. The script just runs.

Lambda metered every run. Hoody-cron just runs.
