The orchestrator is the wire between the agents

Your research agent is good at research and bad at knowing when a question is legal. Teaching it to delegate means prompt engineering you'll never quite trust.

Move the delegation out of the model. A script sits between the agent and the gateway, reading responses on the way back. When the model emits the handoff marker, the script dispatches the question to the legal agent's session over plain HTTP, waits for the answer, and splices it into the reply.

Neither agent was modified. Neither knows the other exists. The routing table isn't a framework or a swarm config: it's an if-statement in the path the traffic already takes.

The orchestrator isn't an agent; it's the wire.
