Terminal

Spectate the terminal, don't join it

The migration your senior engineer promised would take an hour is on hour three. You want to know how it's going. You don't want to ask, because asking is the interruption that makes hour three become hour four.

Her terminal is a URL. You open it in read-only share mode and watch the output scroll. You don't type, she doesn't see a cursor, nobody starts a call. You close the tab when the progress line says 80%.

This used to require a screenshare: a meeting disguised as a glance: or a Slack message that lands as why is this taking so long. Now a manager can look at work the way a senior engineer looks at a log: quietly, and without changing it.

Visibility used to cost an interruption. Now it costs a tab.
