SnapshotsContainersTerminal+1

Onboard a developer with one link

A new engineer joins on Monday. You send them one URL.

They open it on whatever laptop they have. They're in a fresh container that's a clone of your "developer baseline" snapshot: the codebase, the dependencies, the environment variables, the database seeded with fake data, VSCode in the browser with the extensions your team uses. Everything pre-installed, pre-configured, pre-authenticated against the staging APIs they're allowed to touch.

They're writing code in five minutes. Not setting up. Writing.

When they break their environment in week two, they don't reinstall anything. They restore their personal snapshot from yesterday. When the team upgrades to a new Node version, you update the baseline snapshot once and everyone re-clones from it.

The README that used to be 47 steps is now one line: open this URL.
