TerminalContainers

The assignment page in the LMS contains the computer

The week-three assignment in the LMS has the instructions on top and, underneath, an iframe: the student's own terminal, terminal-1 on their container, ?cwd=/home/student/week3&cwd_auto_create=true&title=Week%203. They read the brief and type into the same page. No second tab, no "open your environment first," no install on the school Chromebook or the family PC.

Each student's container has a proxy permission group for that student, so the URL in their page opens their shell and nobody else's.

On Friday you grade from GET /api/v1/terminal/history/1 on each container: every command, its exit code, and when it ran. The student who did the work at 11pm on a phone shows up the same as the one who did it in the lab.

Thirty students, thirty containers, one course page.

The environment doesn't live next to the assignment. It lives inside it.
