The demo you leave behind tells you if they're buying

Thursday's pitch went well, you think. Before leaving, you paste one more URL into the follow-up email: a clone of the demo, aliased to the prospect's name, set to expire in fourteen days. It idles on your box for free, so every prospect gets one.

Monday, before the follow-up call, you read the proxy log. Someone opened the demo Sunday at 9pm and spent forty minutes in the reporting module. Two other stakeholders opened it Friday and left within ninety seconds.

You open Monday's call talking about reporting, and you stop chasing the two who bounced. Every request to the demo passed through the proxy, so the record was already there.

The demo tells you whether they're buying.
