The environment is allowed to remember

In a throwaway sandbox, the agent installs the PDF library on Monday, and on Tuesday the library is gone. Giving agents a new capability means rebuilding the base image: a human task, on a human schedule.

On Hoody, the machine keeps what the agent installs. The tool it apt-gets during one task is there for the next one. And when the environment has accumulated something worth keeping, you promote it: take a snapshot, and new sandboxes copy from that snapshot instead of the old one. The improvement the agent made to its own workspace becomes the starting point for every workspace after it.

The base image stops being a thing humans rebuild and becomes a thing the fleet grows.

The environment improves, because it's allowed to remember.
