grep the server from the train
A bug report lands while you're on the train: "payment failed, error code E4012." Where does that code even come from?
You hit GET /api/v1/files/grep/app?pattern=E4012 from your phone's browser. Ripgrep runs server-side over the tree: gitignore-aware, regex by default, glob=*.ts to narrow it: and the matches come back as JSON with file paths and line numbers. Add context=3 and you're reading the surrounding code before the train reaches the next station.
The same endpoint is why agents can search a codebase without shell access: searching files is just HTTP.
grep is a GET request now.
