The Thursday dispute is settled by grep

Thursday, 2:30 PM. A customer escalates: "Your system never sent the shipment alert. We lost the order." Their contract has penalties. Your stomach drops for exactly forty seconds.

Every event your product emits also appends one line to that customer's log: the exec handler's last call is PUT /api/v1/files/append/customers/acme/alerts.log with timestamp, event, delivery status. Appending over HTTP was cheap enough that you never debated doing it.

GET /api/v1/files/grep/customers/acme?pattern=ORD-88213 comes back with three lines: alert queued 09:14:02, delivered 09:14:03, opened 09:41:57. You paste them into the thread, timestamps intact.

The dispute ends as a reply, not a meeting.

An appended line costs nothing to write and everything to have.
