Day one of the acquisition is a pool invitation
The deal closes Thursday. Friday, the acquired company's CTO invites the acquirer's platform lead into their production pool as an admin, and the on-call rotation as users. GET /api/v1/pools on the acquirer's side now shows the new servers beside the old ones: datacenter, specs, rental_end, what each one costs for the period.
That's the integration. Not a migration. The acquired stack stays on the box it was built on, under the rental it was rented on, and the acquirer can see every server and deploy alongside it without anyone re-platforming anything. Ownership of the servers transfers later, on paper, when legal finishes; the operational merge already happened.
Post-merger infrastructure integration normally means twelve months and a consultant. Here it's an invitation someone accepts, and the finance question: what does this stack cost: is a column on the rentals list.
Two companies' infrastructure became one inventory in the time it takes to accept an invite.
