The office wall dashboard is a Raspberry Pi and one URL

The TV by the kitchen should show the ops desktop: the live charts, the queue monitor, the deploy log. The hardware behind it is a Raspberry Pi running a browser, full-screened on one URL:

?readonly=true&decorations=false&toolbar=false&reconnect=true

readonly blocks all input, so a stray keyboard can't type into production. decorations=false and toolbar=false strip the chrome: wall-to-wall desktop, kiosk mode by query parameter. reconnect=true survives the office WiFi's moods.

The desktop itself runs in a container on your server. The Pi renders pixels; it holds no state, no credentials, no software beyond a browser. Swap the Pi, nothing is lost.

Digital signage used to be a product category. Now it's a query string.
