Try Inkscape without installing Inkscape

It's 9pm and you need to edit one SVG. Inkscape is a heavyweight install your aging laptop doesn't want. Instead: open a container terminal, apt install inkscape, then inkscape &. The app appears in the matching display URL: a real X11 application, streamed to your browser as an HTML5 client.

You edit the file, export, close the tab. Ninety seconds of setup, none of it on your machine.

The container keeps the install. Next month, the same bookmark opens the same app. Nothing was downloaded to the device you're holding, nothing needs uninstalling, and the laptop that struggles with Slack never noticed.

The install happened on a server; the app happened in a tab.
