WorkspacesTerminalCode+2

A course workspace, handed to thirty students with one URL

Week one of an intro Linux course. The instructor sets up a workspace once: terminal panel pointed at a fresh container, code panel for editing files, a file manager so students can see what they're touching, a browser panel pinned to the course notes.

He templates the container, clones it thirty times, sends each student their own workspace URL.

A student opens the link on a Chromebook. Another opens it on a borrowed Windows machine. A third opens it on the family iPad. They all see the same layout: terminal, code, files: and they all start running commands inside their own real Linux environment. Nothing installed, nothing configured.

The first hour of class stops being install support and starts being class. The cognitive load shifts from "did the setup work" to "what does chmod 755 actually do."
