CodeContainersSnapshots

A disposable editor for every pull request

The CI pipeline runs on every PR. After the build passes, the last step posts a comment: "Open this PR in VS Code." The link is a fresh editor URL on a snapshot-cloned container with the branch checked out and the dev server pre-warmed.

Reviewers click. They land in an editor with the branch already loaded. They check out a behaviour change live, set a breakpoint, run the failing test the author missed.

The instance is keyed to the PR number. When the PR merges or closes, a webhook destroys the container. Disk costs nothing while idle, the URL goes 404 when the work is done.

You stop hearing "I'll review this when I'm back at my laptop." Reviews happen on the train, on the couch, on the phone in line at lunch.

Pull requests stop being diffs and start being computers.
