Cron

The cron job that deletes itself when you're done

You're chasing a flaky bug in the auth service. You want to dump the process tree every minute for the next two days, then never again. Normally you'd add a crontab line, write yourself a calendar reminder to remove it, and forget the reminder anyway.

With hoody-cron, you POST a managed entry with expires_at set 48 hours out. The job runs every minute. At hour 49 it's gone. No reminder, no cleanup PR, no stale entry six months later that everyone's afraid to touch.

This is what every "I'll just temporarily..." crontab entry should have been. The schedule has a half-life.

Temporary work shouldn't leave permanent crontab entries.
