Cron

Every scheduled job on the box says who wrote it and when it dies

The change board asks what runs on the finance box at night. On a normal server that's crontab -l for each user, then asking around about the lines nobody recognises.

Here every scheduled job is a managed entry. GET /users/root/entries returns them as JSON: schedule, command, comment, enabled, expires_at. The comment is mandatory and single-line, so "temp fix for the March reconciliation, Priya" is in the record, not in someone's memory. The expiry means the temporary ones were never going to become permanent. GET /crontab covers the other users in one request.

The auditor gets a URL, not a screen-share. The lines with no comment don't exist, because the API refuses to create them.

The crontab used to be tribal knowledge. Now it's a list with comments and expiry dates.
