The first day of the bootcamp has an API

Monday, 8:00 AM, cohort seventeen. The instructor clones forty containers from the week-one template snapshot: editors, toolchains, exercise repos already in place. By 8:15 every student has a URL.

At 8:50 a script POSTs /api/v1/notifications/notify to each container's display: class starts in ten minutes. The message appears on forty desktops, not in forty inboxes.

At 10:40 a student force-pushes over their own morning. Restore from the 8:15 snapshot; they lose twenty minutes, not the day. At 5:00 PM a cron entry snapshots all forty containers, so Tuesday starts exactly where Monday ended.

Nobody installed anything, and every hour of the day was an HTTP call. The first day of the bootcamp has an API.
