When there's no DOM, read the pixels

The vendor's monitoring console is a fat desktop client. No API, no exportable metrics, nothing to scrape: someone glances at it twice a day and hopes.

Run the client on a container's display. A cron entry GETs the display's screenshot endpoint every fifteen minutes and hands the image to an agent with one question: is any gauge red, and what does the throughput number read? The agent answers from the pixels. Out-of-range means a notification on the on-call phone with the screenshot attached; normal means a logged value and silence.

The application never changed and never knew. Monitoring stopped requiring the vendor's cooperation the day the screen became an endpoint.

The dashboard nobody could scrape gets watched anyway.
