The clone has already run npm install

Every run on a fresh-image sandbox starts with the same ritual: pull dependencies, install packages, warm caches. The task is thirty seconds; the setup is four minutes; the setup happens every time.

On Hoody, a run starts from a clone of your base container instead of a blank image. Cloned containers share their disk blocks copy-on-write, so the clone arrives with node_modules populated, apt packages installed, and the test fixtures already on disk: not re-downloaded, just already there.

Each CI run, each agent task, each throwaway experiment begins at the task instead of at the setup. The four minutes you paid once, when you built the base, stops being a tax on every run after.
