The log tail survives the reconnect, and the container says goodbye
Your incident dashboard tails the proxy log with GET /_logs/stream. It is Server-Sent Events, and every frame carries an id: line, a ring sequence number.
The Wi-Fi drops for twenty seconds. The dashboard reconnects and sends Last-Event-ID: 48211. The server keeps a ring of the last five thousand entries, roughly fifty seconds at a hundred entries a second, and replays everything after 48211. Nothing between the drop and the reconnect is missing, and nothing is duplicated.
Two named events do the housekeeping. event: reset means the server restarted and the counter moved; the client throws away its bookmark and starts clean. event: scope-destroyed means the container is gone; the stream closes right after, and the dashboard marks the panel dead instead of spinning. A heartbeat every fifteen seconds tells quiet apart from disconnected.
The tail is a cursor into a ring, and the ring knows when the thing it watched stopped existing.
