The Article 30 record names a datacenter

The DPO is filling in the records of processing. One column: location of processing. Most vendors answer with a region name and a footnote.

You open the listing for the box you rented. GET /api/v1/servers/available?country=DE returned it, and the record reads country, region, city, datacenter. Frankfurt. FRA-DC2. Those fields go into the register as written, because they describe where the disk is, not where a replication policy might have moved it.

The server is a physical machine. Your containers are processes on it. The data is bytes on its disk, and the disk sits in the building the listing named. There is no quiet replica in a second region, because nothing moves unless you POST a copy.

"Where is the data" stops being a question for the vendor's legal team and becomes a field you filter on.

The register cites a building, not a promise.
