Containers

Run a 12-product portfolio from one bare-metal box

You ship twelve micro-SaaS apps. Each has a frontend, a backend, a database, a worker: call it four containers per product. That's roughly fifty containers total.

Heroku would price that at four dynos times twelve products plus add-ons: call it $400 a month, easy. Render is the same shape with a different logo. AWS is the same shape with more invoices.

Hoody runs all fifty containers on one $100 bare metal box. Each product gets isolated filesystems, isolated processes, its own URL surface. Two products bring traffic, ten are sleepy: only the busy ones consume resources, the rest sit warm at zero cost. When the eleventh product takes off, you don't migrate it. It was already running.

The portfolio model used to be a spreadsheet of bills. Now it's one line item.
